Privacy Policy
This privacy policy explains how personal data is processed when you visit the informational website ramblet.de. The communication platform and invitation service are still under development; additional privacy information will be provided before further features become available. Last updated: 6 November 2026.
1. Controller and contact details
Justin Danes, Ramblet Community Studios, Im Schlenk 41, 47055 Duisburg, Germany. Email: hello@ramblet.de. Phone: +49 1522 426 52 15 (no telephone customer support).
2. General principles and legal bases
We process personal data only where necessary to operate the website, respond to inquiries or comply with legal obligations. Relevant legal bases include Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests in providing a secure, functional website), Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual communication), Article 6(1)(c) GDPR (legal obligations) and, where consent is required, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Consent may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.
3. Hosting and technical access data
The website is operated on a server rented from Emerald Host. When you access the site, technically necessary information such as your IP address, access time, requested URL, HTTP status, browser details and, where applicable, the referrer is transmitted to the server. Processing is intended to deliver, stabilize and secure the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Whether access or security logs are stored by the hosting provider or the deployed server configuration, and for how long, must be verified against the actual settings and provider documentation and specified here. The exact hosting location, any subprocessors and any required data processing agreement must also be verified.
4. Cookies and local storage
The informational website is intended to operate without advertising or analytics tracking. Cookies or local storage may be used for technically necessary features, such as remembering a language preference. The actual storage entries, their retention periods and the applicable legal basis must be checked against the browser and application configuration before publication. Non-essential storage access and tracking services will only be used in compliance with statutory consent requirements.
5. Contact by email
If you email hello@ramblet.de, we process your email address, the contents of your message and any other information you voluntarily provide to handle and respond to your inquiry. Depending on the purpose, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR and, where statutory retention obligations apply, Article 6(1)(c) GDPR. Inquiries are deleted when no longer needed, unless legal retention obligations apply. The email service provider and any related data transfers must be specified before publication. Telephone customer support is not offered.
6. Downloads and future features
The informational website does not currently provide a production-ready Ramblet client for download. Before downloads, user accounts, community features or an invitation service are introduced, this policy will be expanded to describe the personal data processed, recipients, retention periods and applicable legal bases.
7. The ramblet.me domain
The ramblet.me domain is intended for a future invitation service. The processing described here currently concerns the informational website ramblet.de. Once ramblet.me becomes operational, the associated processing will be explained separately or through supplementary privacy information.
8. User accounts and communications
User accounts, direct messages, community content and voice or video communications are not part of the current informational offering. Before these features become available, separate information will be provided, including details of account data, content, moderation, recipients, retention, security and any transfers to third countries.
9. Recipients and international data transfers
Hosting and email service providers may receive personal data where necessary to deliver the website. Disclosures require an appropriate legal basis and any legally required agreements. The actual providers, subprocessors and any transfers outside the European Economic Area must be documented and named here before publication. We do not claim that no international transfers occur unless this has been verified.
10. Your data protection rights
Subject to the GDPR, you have rights of access (Article 15), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18), data portability (Article 20) and objection (Article 21). Where processing is based on legitimate interests, you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation. Contact hello@ramblet.de to exercise your rights. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW), https://www.ldi.nrw.de.
11. Retention and security
Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary for its purpose or to meet legal obligations. Specific deletion periods for technical logs and email inquiries must be established from the actual configuration and operational processes and stated here. HTTPS is used to protect data in transit; complete protection against every risk cannot be guaranteed.
12. Updates to this policy
We update this privacy policy when features, service providers or legal requirements change. The current version will be published on this website.
